While multi-platinum songwriter Kara Dioguardi could just sit back and let the royalty checks roll in, she's putting everything she has at risk in an effort to transform her boutique operation Arthouse, into the music industry's force majeure and take on the biggest companies in the business.  At the same time, Kara struggles to remain true to her down-to-earth roots that she credits as the secret to all of her past success.

Perhaps an even bigger challenge is to create boundaries between her role as the entrepreneurial den mother to the prodigal children of Arthouse (her songwriters) and her A-List superstar clients, so that she can revamp her flailing personal life.
